Caribbean Artist Talk

An artist talk was held at the Bookworm Beijing ( a popular spot for creativity and discussion) with Grenadian artist Suelin Low Chew Tung, Haitian artist Prensnelo and Tricia Bethel to mark the year 2016 as Latin America and Caribbean Culture in China.

The event was promoted by the Bookworm as well as China social media platforms. Considering it was a Friday night, few people attended however sales were made.

Tricia first introduced her art which is varied yet embodies Grenadian culture. She was followed by Suelin (host and artist) then Prensnelo. The videos that the two traveling artists created during their time in Haiti as well as volunteered time spent at the Richmond Hill prison in Grenada were the most touching part of their presentation.

The evening ended successfully with more discussions, friendships made and as mentioned, sales.
